Periodontal Services

Periodontal disease (“gum disease”) is a tricky one to spot because you may have it without even knowing! Typical signs include bleeding, inflamed, or receding gums, bad breath, and/or loose teeth, but in some cases, you may have no symptoms at all! Periodontal services typically progress in the following fashion:

Plaque builds up on your teeth. If it’s not removed, it becomes hard and forms tartar, which brushing cannot eliminate.

If this tartar and plaque continue to stay on the teeth, bacteria will form, causing gingivitis.

If gingivitis is left untreated, it develops into periodontal disease, causing the gums to pull away from the teeth, leading to infection.
